Connecting Stars
There are three main groups that we aim to help.
High School
Being a doctor is a rewarding profession. However, the journey is long and arduous and often times students, especially minorities and those from underservered areas feel discouraged from pursuing their interests. Through mentorships and guidance we hope to even the playing field and set students up for success regardless of external factors.
Undergraduate
During their undergraduate year, there is a lot of information available and a learning curve to be able to settle and thrive. Most students feel this pressure including premed students who plan to apply to medical school. We hope to use our understanding and experiences to guide students to excel in their undergraduate education from academics to extracurricular to leadership experiences thus easing the preparation and application process for graduate study.
International Students
Members of our team grew up in three different countries and as the child of immigrant parents knows the learning curve and hurdle that accompanies seeking higher education in a country like the United States. There are nuances in simple things like applying for college that one simply, writing a personal statement, navigating the technology and tools, effective studying, how to find the best resources and so much more that people have to figure out through trial and error.
