Mission Statement

Interconnected is focused on bridging the gap between two main areas

  1. Between medical/health science-related information and the general public.
  2. Between students and the skills and guidance, they need to thrive in their respective endeavors.

Let’s break that down further into what it means.

Based on discussions with health professionals and the elucidation of prominent issues with general understanding and knowledge of medical information, we created Deep Dives to address the gap between medical/scientific information and the general public. The goal is to provide, as in-depth as necessary, an engaging discussion and writeup on a specific medical, health, or scientific topic, thus addressing the first main goal of Interconnected – to connect the public to the knowledge.

The second aspect of Interconnected involves connecting students from different backgrounds and walks of life and different countries with mentors and peers who can guide and assist them in navigating complex, confusing, challenging, or inquisitive areas of their educational journey. This is the inspiration behind the Connecting Stars program. It is a free program that provides holistic, specific, and tailored support to the program’s participants while creating a community of peers for them to reach out to and learn more.
